FOOD TRUCKS or vendors: PLEASE read below:
Below are the requirements to have a food truck at the event.
If the vehicle is equipped with appliances that utilize open flames or produce smoke or grease laden vapors, then provide the name of the mobile food prep vehicle and a copy of the vehicles current valid Fire Prevention Code Permit to FireMarshal@manassasva.gov at least one week prior to the event.
If this is a vehicle serving beverages, ice cream, etc and not being utilized to cook then a permit is not required.
If the vehicle is from out of state or unable to get their AHJ to perform the inspection, have them call the Virginia State Fire Marshals’ Office at 804-371-0220 (#5) and schedule a date/time with them to have a permit issued their them. (VSFPC 319.2.1)
Mobile food prep vehicle(s) shall maintain a 10’ clearance from anything combustible during the event.
If the mobile food prep vehicle is registered in the City of Manassas, and does not have a current permit – have the vehicle owner email fireinspectors@manassasva.gov to schedule the inspection at least one week prior to the event.

Volunteers: Please attend the VOLUNTEER INFORMATION SESSION on the evening of Friday, June 19th at 4pm before the event on June 20 at Liberia House and Grounds 8601 Portner Ave. to receive your bumble bee yellow or lavender t-shirt and submit your availability.
Volunteers are needed after t-shirt distribution to help set up Friday. Also needed for all shifts on festival day on Sat. June 20 from 6:30am to 3pm for times available. Email ManassasBeeFestival@gmail.com if cannot attend this session.

Parking:
NO PARKING in the Point of Woods town home neighborhood.
Parking IS AVAILABLE: The City of Manassas Public Works lot (end of Portner Ave and 1/2 block from Liberia House), Breeden Ave. street and Didlake lot, Mathis Ave. street as posted, Public Library, Apple Credit / Manassas city school central office building lot. Parkside, and many business lots that are closed or have a large inventory of spaces on Saturday such as Manassas Shopping Center and Manassas Junction Shopping Center.



Guests are encouraged to dress like their favorite pollinator or a nature theme for the Pollinator Costume Parade, Waggle Dance, and community Spelling Bee held at the Main Stage.

Vendors: You must supply your own tent, table, chairs on a 10×10 or 12×12 space (both available to all) with small white flags at each corner. Volunteers will be available to guide you. No assigned spaces. We can suggest areas plus look at the map below for the areas that you prefer. No spaces surrounding the native garden this year.

Set-Up Day-of morning: Saturday June 20th set up starts at 6:30am and is first come-first serve for vendors and food trucks, and participants. VENDORS: Note ENTRANCE on map where you will be greeted by volunteer for direction.
Follow the thin brown line to the gray circle area to unload quickly and park. Finish set up after you park. Vehicles off property and exited by 8:30am following the gravel (gray) driveway to Mathis Ave. Parking in Public Works lot or surrounding lots and on Breeden Ave. or Mathis Ave as marked.

There is a park entrance trail across the street from Didlake on Breeden Ave. as well as on Mathis Ave.(across from Samantha’s Corner), and Portner Ave at house.

Optional Set-Up Evening before festival on Friday June 19: Simple set up with table, chairs, and tent (required) with your name in view can happen the day before starting at 5pm until sundown. Volunteers will be available for additional information. Do not leave important products. This is at your own risk to set up early.

Contributions are donations to the Friends of the Manassas Bee Festival to bring awareness to save our pollinators (important for our growing food source) and plant native plants!
